I can't believe it i went quading today and i found an elk scrape in the middle of a cutline he must be practicing for what is just around the corner. I thought it's little early for them to start but there is always one early bird out there. I can hardly wait for bow season to start that gets the old juices flowing. I stuck up a trail camera down the cut line at a water hole hope i get a picture of him.

The earliest I've found a bull rub was Aug 11th in the Northern Oregon Cascades. There was velvet hanging in it. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif
Did you find any velvet? What state?
