Todays Coyote Hunt

Hunted taft for the yotes today. Poor shooting resulted in a big fat 0 for me. ###Had 4 easy shots and missed them all. ###On the way home i stoped and checked out a spot that songdog gave directions to but had no luck. ###However while looking around I spooked a nice black bear. ###Oh well Ill give it a try again next week

Hi there! Just came across your post. A friend of mine lives in Taft and I'm curious about finding a place to shoot 'yotes and squirrel when I visit ocasionally. Any locations or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

You'll find a lot of great people here! Off the 166 there's Carrizo. Pretty much anywhere you'll go you can find coyotes. You will find some private property if you keep going on the road. Just watch out for the cattle!
