Lots of limits along with lots of bugs. The great fishing still has not let up – all the way around – trolling, drift fishing or still fishing. Mother Nature was still sending a few thunderstorms around in the afternoon.

Trolling Kastmasters, superdupers, and worms have been the ticket close to shore. PowerBait (any color) and worms seem to be the best for drift fishing. Still fishing the inlets with worms, salmon eggs, and mini-jigs are producing limits. Bubbles and flys are working terrific in the morning and evenings.

The lake is stocked on a regular basis by the Department of Fish and Game. Once again, the DFG stocked on Monday, June 21st with pan-size rainbows along with 25 trophy-size trout. In the past three weeks, we know of NONE of these trophy fish coming out of the lake.

The lake just turned (the cold water on the top went to the bottom and the warm water came to the top) and there’s a bit of pine pollen on the lake so the water was a bit murky, but that’s clearing up. The lake is about 4 feet from spilling which should happen the first part of July.

REMEMBER THE REPELLANT, the skeeters are here at least for a month or so. The temperatures have been in the high 60s with the lows in the high 40s to low 50s with a bit of a breeze on the lake in the afternoons so don’t forget a jacket.
