View Full Version : Need Air Gun

Mowing the yard last night I realized I could get real close to the Chipmunks (that are digging in my yard) while I was on the lawn tractor. I would like to get an air gun (pistol?) to carry on the tractor that could make a kill within the 20 to 50 foot range. I have a .177 rifle w/ scope that would work, but would need a scabbord or someway to carry it on the mower. I thought a pistol would be handier. Any recommendations? CO2 or one pump brands? .177 or larger?

Sounds like a challenge to shoot at the little vermin from a vibrating 20HP lawn tractor with a air pistol. I have a couple cordura holsters laying around that may work for carrying it strapped on the seat back of the mower.

Update,
Found one at Pyramydair.com for under $50. With shipping/handling, 25 CO2 cartridges, and 500 wadcutter pellets, total of $78. Will post with results.

Machine,

Got the .22. Ended up back-ordered (will wait) and saw today I can save some bucks getting the CO2 at Wally World.

Not scoping it at the moment. Saw the Red Dot, looks like it would be the ticket. My wife will also be shooting, (she mows alot thank God). She wants the open sights to start. Is pretty good with a Browning target pistol we shoot at the range. Thanks for the info, will follow up when we get it and burn some critters.

I have a lazer on mine, under the barrel so I can still use the sights!

Crosman 2240 came today from Pyramyd Air. One day delivery from Ohio once the got new stock. Will play with it over the weekend.


Saw on the Pyramyd website, they carry a .50 caliber air gun ! Check it out.
