At the behest of Cda55 i am posting a little introduction and thank you to all contributors to this site. It is the first place where i have actually been able to relate to people who hunt in California.
I have been hunting now for about 8 years, i live in Folsom,CA which for those of you who have not been incarcerated there yet is just east of Sacramento. Most of my hunting has been done in the c-1 zone near iron gate resevoir but after several years of declining deer populations and increased kitty kat numbers i have decided to look elsewhere to hunt. d3-d5 is my backyard but i have not been successful hunnting the lst 2 years. it is taking more time than i have to locate the animals.
i graduated from corcoran high school in 1992 and that is how i began dialogue with cda55, a fellow corcoranite. so anyone else out there who knnows that wonderful town drop me a line.
Going to Colorado for the first time to hunt mulies in gmu22, leaving around oct 14.
Thanks again to everyone i have talked with so far and to everyone who contributes. This is a killer forum.

Welcome aboard!
As you've already seen, this is a great site for all kinds of info, and plenty of BS too (check out the So There I Was... thread). Just like a big ol' campfire!
Only one problem. This group already has too many Jesses. Sorry, but you'll have to change your name. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-wnk-yellow.gif
Seriously, glad to have you in the gang.

Welcome buckkiller,
I hear you brother. C1 has been declining every year. My uncles have been hunting there for a very long time. Before it was C zone, I beleive it was x-1. They ahve taken some very large bucks out of there. Almost everyone use to tag out. Lucky to get one if not just seeing a legal buck. We hunt around Goosenest. This might be our last year. Thinking about D3-5, D6 or D7. Seen some nice bucks at Spenceville

As a matter of fact, I do drive a Ford, 1994 Bronco. Wouldn't trade it for anything except a shot at a B&C buck. As for the question about wine... I have got it covered, drop me a line if you want some advice. I own a small wine shop here in Folsom. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-peta-sucks-sign.gif
