Ray Charles has died at 73

Some of the best music I ever heard was Ray Charles.

When I played trombone in the Knoxville Symphony one of the artists I got to play with was Ray Charles. That was one of the highlights of my musical life. I didn't realize that he played both keyboards and saxophone until then. Ray had a giant influence on the music world and will be missed.

It makes you remember all the events of this week- With President Regan and now Ray. We are all just mortal people that will have a bell toll- and when it tolls for us, we have no idea- but it will toll for us and the ones we love the most.
