Three-time world duck calling champ to be at Turner’s stores.
### ### ### ###CHINO -- Barnie Calef, a three-time world champion duck caller and pro staffer with Hunter Specialties, will be giving a duck calling seminar and answering hunters’ questions during a three-day series of seminars sponsored by Turner’s Outdoorsman stores in Southern California.
### ### ### ###Calef won his first world title in 1989 and added his second title 10 years later in 1999. In November, 2000, he made history by becoming the first person in 26 years to win back-to-back world titles in Stuttgart, Ark. The third title forced him to retire from the national competition, and he is one of just four callers who have won the title three times.

Calef will be at the San Marcos Turner’s 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4th, and reservations can be made by calling (760) 741-1570. The following night, Friday, Oct. 5, Calef will be at the new West Covina stores, also at 6 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (626) 858-8948 for this seminar. The final seminar will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Mike Raahauge Shooting Sports, where hunters can call (909) 735-7981 for reservations.
### ### ### ###At each seminars, there will be special drawings and representatives from the California Waterfowl Association, the Department of Fish and Game, and Federal ammunition.
