Well, here ya go! Finally got blood at about 15 yards... made a near instant kill and recovery.

Definitely one for the trophy wall!

LOL, PowDuck. Actually, that bow has drawn my blood twice now. The worse was when a fletching peeled off on the shot, driving the spine and glue into my wrist. OUCH!

Here in CA we&#39;re year-round on hogs, which is what I was hunting this weekend. We were given carte blanche to shoot the ground grizzlies on sight, though, and they&#39;re danged good practice. Hard to hit &#39;em at longer ranges with the trad bow, as the arrow is moving so slow that they can watch it coming, and move just before it arrives. Kinda funny to watch... almost like kids playing dodgeball.

I&#39;ve been wanting to get a tree-rat with mine for some time--didn&#39;t even get to hunt them this year due to a bum ankle, although I did miss one while deer hunting.

I did have a good weekend though--got out for my first shoot of the year (already missed several due to the ankle--in a dang air-cast now). I went to the Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia State Championship. By some twist of fate, I lucked out and got first place in men&#39;s longbow. Funny thing is that a guy shooting a longbow also took first in the recurve class--he had to shoot that class because he was shooting aluminum arrows.
