Bob, I saw the picture of the black buck that you harvest. I have a couple of question for you.

1. Where in TX can you hunt this animals? Can you provide me with numbers or web sites to do some research.

2. How much will a hunt cost?

I'm Going to TX next month for a ram hunt near barksdale TX.

Try this link below. It has a list of just a few exotic ranches. a Blackbuck hunt will run you anywhere from about $900.00-$1500.00 depending on the size and accomidations.

Blackbucks are only free-ranging in the Edwards Plateau region of the state. This is the area you are going to be hunting. They were introduced in 1930 and there about 25,000 now. It is almost impossible to find free-range hunts. You can hunt them on the game ranches in most parts of southern and western parts of the state. Be very careful where you hunt. Some high-fenced ranches offer very good hunts with ample land. Some don&#39;t! If you send me a PM I can put you in touch with a guide in central Texas who has some execellent blackbuck hunts. As stated above, blackbuck hunts generally range from $900-$2000 for a good 20"+ buck, with the average being around $1200.

They are wary.....they look good......they taste good.......what&#39;s not to love!

FYI-There is one large low-fenced ranch offering free-range blackbuck hunts right now for $1250 and all the does you want for the freezer for just $50. It is a "right now" type of thing however.
