Any of you that live in N Calif. and need to get out at this time of year are missing out if you have never been to this lake about 40minutes N. of Reno We fish from shore or wade out to about waist deep using ladders to stand on and stay out of the water. Most of the fish will run from 19-24" long with many fish in the 24"+ range taken each week. You are allowed to keep 2 fish between 16-19" or 1 fish over 24". all others must be returned to the lake immediately. We use size 2-6 Wooly Buggers, Wooly worms in mainly dark colors with some days whites and Chartruise working better. Our biggest 2 wks ago was 26" long (about 6 lbs) with 4 or 5 at 23". There was a 17 lb Cut taken trolling the last day we were there. The lake is about the size of Lake Tahoe with miles of shallows that the fish head to to try to spawn starting in late March. Pyramid sits on an Indian reservation and though you don't need a Nevada Non res. license, you do need an $8 per day permit. Email me if you have any questions. We go about once a month from now until June. During April it is not un common to catch 20-40 fish per day with 90% of the fish 20" or better.....Hronk
