Well talking to the Wife in Gaylord says that it's been warm and raining there and the snow is melting so fast that it's flooding a lot of places since the ground is still frozen. She says that the snow depth is dropping very fast, how is the snow around where all you guys live?

We had about 30" on a garage roof before last weeks thaw - then it went down to about 15". Yesterday we got about 8" and they are threatening us with a winter storm tonight. If we get too much http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/afraid_face.gif I am going "weather man hunting" http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-gunfighter-yellow.gif with or with out a tag! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-ren.gif I just put out a bail of alfafa and am watching 15 deer enjoy it http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-up-ani.gif as I type! Well you guys can always http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cross-fingers.gif and hope the thaw comes quick. I read in the free press that Lake Erie is open and boats are already out fishing. That sounds spring right around the corner. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-clappin-yellow.gif

Wow upper you guys did get alot of snow. Its all gone down here and looking to stay that way but man the water levels are high. The river behind my place is embarking onto the back porch and the tree that are now surrounded by water our looking pretty tipsy. Anyways looking forward to the up comming turkey season. Oh yeah I was out to my buddies where I hunt this weekend and he showed me a rack he found on a dead buck. I was sick when I seen it, would of been a monster next year a solid eight with two small tines starting. It was tall but not real wide only 16 inches but the mains come around and almost touch out front. Probably would of scored over 115 this year. I had seen him once and was hoping he would make it but it looked as if it was gut shot. A disapointing weekend none the less.

Hey Uncle sorry to hear about your deer. We find a few like that every year around here. It's good to hear the water levels are going up. We really need it up here, The lakes have been so low there are alot of places we can't fish like we use to. MI your wife wasn't kidding this sonw was way to heavy for a regular plow truck, it would just keep getting stuck so it was time to pull out the heavy artillery.May be we can get a fishing exscursion going this summer. The salmon are in Fair port at the end of the Garden Peninsula from June tru August. Stay dry everyone http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif

UpperEA,

Sounds likea a plan, I wont be getting back till late August though. Good thing you had the heavy arty or you would be stuck for a while. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-shakehead-blue.gif

Uncle, that is sick, hopefully he was able to pass on some of his genes before his misfortune so you be able to see some offspring in the future.

Definitly good news about water levels! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif

Went Hog hunting this morning, did a river assult on the Savannah river, boy it was cold at 5:30 am on the river. This state is messed up, 5:30 AM it's 36 degrees and at 11:00 am it's 63 degrees! And people wonder why they get sick down here, 30 degree swings everyday!

No hogs, heard a few shots but most hunters didn't see a thing. Strange to we where in prime areas, all tore up, but they were not around.
