even with Tinhorns excelent directions and pictures I 'm still overwhelmed as I'm a complete novice when it comes to electronics. My first cam .is going to be with the Olypus Infinity Jr.and the MS20 PIR, Do I still need a timer with this camera to prevent a potential lockup?
My second cam. will be with the Owl PF when I can find one.I will use the RS PIR.To run the timer, will I need a seperate power source?

The RS PIR uses a regular 9v battery. ### I don't know about using a timer w/ the Olympus. ###I use timers with my Owl PF & RS PIR to increase the interval between pics, not to prevent lockup.

Like Todd, I don't know anything about the Olympus but the same battery can run both the Motion Sensor and Timer.......

Caveman,

You only need a timer if you filming places where the same animal may linger for long periods of time like a deer feeder. Sometimes I could use a timer but I like many differnet poses of a deer that I may only get once. Timers will allow just maybe one pic of the animal. It's a trade off, one pic and less waste or many pics but the animal can run off half a roll in 15 minutes.
