i was wondering if i could use a cell phone battery for my source of power. ###I have 3 old phones. ###The most powerful is a bag phone which has a motorola battery that is 12v. ###The other two only have 4.3V and 3.2V. ###Also, wondering if i can use a cannon AF camera, it does have an electronic shutter though. ###it's manual humm i think i already know the answer to this. lol any help would be greatly appreciated. ###thanks hookingbull

can't help you with the battery, but the AF is fine. Look back on the homebrew section, there is a topic for modifying the "Canon Owl". That is for the AF with the round dial on the front.
If you have an older owl, look around for Welby on this page, or look back on this forum at old posts I think they discussed modifying that particular camera.

the MS20 Motion sensor requires over 5 volts to operate and the RS one uses a 9 volt battery, don't know how low a volts would work it but think the less than 5 volt batts won't work.....(educated guess)
The 12 volt batt would work tho....
