Hi guys i need your help again.My buddy is building a camera system using a 12 volt gel cell and a 12 relay when the motion detector is tripped the output from the relay is only 5.8 volts how come?This is the 2nd board he has wired both had the same problem also he said that he cut the r3 resistor as per instructions.He is at his wits end and needs help and this is the place where the yoda,s of game cameras hang out. ###thanks guys

the relay should not have any voltage on the output, you are closing a set of contacts, you should only have continuity when the relay is closed, making the camera switch closed to take a picture

wfontjr is right, should see no volts at all on the Contacts of the relay ? ? ?
