View Full Version : Burning A DVD
I took my 8 year old daughter on her first deer hunting trip and took some good video of a little buck sizing up a deer decoy. I was able to burn the movie on a CD-R disk. It looks great on that disk, however I tried to burn the movie on to a DVD RW disk. My computer does have a DVD writer built-in. I am getting the message that it can not read the blank DVD disk. I have been using Windows Movie Maker. I was well please with the CD-R disk but would like to put it on DVD so I can play it in my DVD player and watch it on the TV. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

You can't burn DVD's with windows movie maker. If your computer came with a DVD burner there should be another program on it to burn DVD's. You can still make the movie with Windows Movie Maker and save it to your computer then open it up in the other program to burn it to DVD. Many DVD players can play Video CD's you just have to burn in the right format for your DVD player. Mine likes AVI files the best, try saving as an AVI, it will be a big file but high quality.

Go to download.com and search for Nero Express. They have an evaluation version that will burn video to DVD's. Good luck http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif
