Man are we getting hammered. It started to snow at about midnight and hasn't stopped yet. We got about 8 inches so far and now the wind is doing it's thing.I have a doe and a fawn beside the house right now eating what was left of my bait this year I can just imagine what they are thinking right now (hope that's not supplemental feeding LOL). http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hitting-self.gif

Yeah, we got hit pretty good as well. Probably at about 15" by now, and it's still coming down.

Wow,
You guys are getting hammered. To bad it wasn't a little of that for the deer season. I know in the Northeren LW it was weird weather, and a lot of wind.
Hope you got the snow plows and blowers ready to roll. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/snowflakes_fallin_blackonwhite_ani.gif

After a real mild winter http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif a guy said to me..
If winters were all like that every one would want to live here. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif Now every time we get dumped I think of him. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-devil.gif And I am thinking of him now! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-idea-blu.gif
I went out to bait a last chance stand and I was afraid to turn my back on a doe. I may have to start carring a weapon http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-gunfighter-yellow.gif so as not to be robbed http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hair-raisin-blue.gif on my way in http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-clappin-yellow.gif

So what did you guys end up with up there. I know talking to the wife, she said that the wind kept the snow from piling up.

In the northern UP, we probably ended up at somewhere between 24"-30" out of the storm and the lake effect snow that followed. It's still coming down pretty good right now, but luckily we had a bit of a break for a good chunk of the day (only got about 4" between 8:00-5:00).
Our muzzleloader season in the U.P. ends on Sunday, and I'm hoping to head out and maybe catch them on a bit of a secondary mini-rut. I know for sure that in my area does outnumber bucks so bad that it takes a few cycles for them all to breed. Last year on the last day of muzzleloader season I found a couple fresh scrapes, so the boys are still trolling. I saw a fawn in October that still had spots and looked to weigh maybe 40 lbs. - that one will be a nice tasty treat for the wolves (if it hasn't been already).

Talked to wife again last night, it snowed 6-8 inches yesterday. Now that's what I remember from growing up. Hopefully not to bad for our builder to work on the house.
