Need some detective work on this pic. You might remember this pic from RobNHood in Missouri. He said it was a bobcat and I put it up as that. A buddy (Shane), got to looking at the pic and he thinks it's a coyote by the ears, tail and dog looking feet. Since the animal view is going away the tail length is hard to tell. Wud ya think?

I too think it's a coyote. ###The tail looks to bushy and the color pattern is more like a coyote than a bobcat. ### ###If you look close at the head you can see his snout pointed down and a bobcat has no snout. Also if you look close at the tail it looks as if it is curled upward and is long. ### Just my two cents worth.

I'd have to vote for coyote too - based on the snout. ###Could be a pet dog - does not seem to have the right proportions for a coyote, but that could be the odd camera angle.

After looking more closely I believe maybe a coyote or dog. But those ears.....?

As soon as I looked at it I said coyote all for the same reasons as Camo Man pointed out. ###The angle of the shot is quartering away making the animal look shorter than it actually is. ###Same with the tail. ###I'm not a betting man but I'd put something on this one.

The 1st time I seen it I thought it was a dog, it's def a canine I think, maybe a coyote.....

My vote is for something from the canine species. ###The first time I saw it I couldn't see how it could be a bobcat with seeing the snout, but I thought maybe it was just an error.
Something to compare it too..
