Fritz,

I am hunting all day on Saturday, so I need to stay home Sunday and take care of home stuff. I just got my saltwater liscense, so come up with another time and I'll try to be there.

What type of clothing is needed for surf fishing? Do you use waders?
I am guessing the water will be cold.

Although I'm not set up for saltwater (yet), I wouldn't mind meeting for breakfast. Po' Folks Restraunt on Beach Blvd. has some good breakfast specials.

Last time in the surf with Gadget, shorts and bare feet. With the cooler temps, I usually will bring boot waders - cheap kind, just to keep dryer and warmer.

Karstic, what time you thinking?
I am still going to try to get out somewhere for a quick bit of fishing.
My set up is just my heaver trout rod 6-7wt with an overloaded shooting head (9wt) with my Ross reel (Cimmeron 3 [I think], 8.8 lb Rio leader about 5 feet or so and a stripping basket. I won a Woodriver stripping basket, but any laundry tub will work okay with a belt. Just tell the wife when you take hers http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hitting-self.gif They tend to freak out a bit. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hair-raisin-blue.gif

I know, but I have all the kids to watch and need to get them down to the mother-in-laws, plus some major huny-doooooooos need to be done around the homefront http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif
