It's been an interesting archery seasob so far. I've spent four evenings in my stand in an area where my game cameras last month showed me activity everyday and seen nothing but squirrels, crows, and bluejays. I'm not really sure what's cause the activity change but know I need to be there when they are and they will be back. Nevertheless, it's great being back in a stand again to really enjoy the out of doors. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif

Take heart, Terry... I was just at WFG watching the Pats game and what I hear is that Webster Lake Sporting checked in 5 deer all week (!!!) and Jerries bait and Tackle in Milford checked in 22 all week, most of them from sherborn and such... I have no way to co-oberate this but most folks I've talked to have seen bupkiss... keep in mind that not too long ago we didn't have these early two weeks and you'll see that things are as they will be. Arlow is right, lots of acorns on the ground, moon coming off, warm weather and not yet rut...why should the deer move? Hang in there... primetime is coming!!!

(I just Tuesday twilight caught an eight point with my homebrew I didn't know was there...)

Keep the faith- http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-thumbs-up-aqua.gif

MB I haven't hunted this time of the year since 1982, when I shattered my left elbow. I don't remember what the early season hunting is like; but, as I said, it's great being back in the stand again and with time, the deer will pass by again.

No-one I know of is seeing much right now. It is starting to get colder and hopefully the activity will begin to pick up.
