http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-help-green.gif I am thinking about picking up this gun at the local Wal-Mart and wanted to see if anyone has it or has shot it. I don't have alot of $ to spend which is the biggest reason for this gun - $100.

I am kind of leary of the gun due to the price and therefore is the reason I am asking for input.

Any help is appreciated. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-thumbs-up-aqua.gif

I'd look at a NEF / H&R Huntsman ($140) or perhaps an American Knight, similarly priced.

Trkyhuntr Id follow Randys advice he knows what he's talkin about, I would definitley go for the American Knight I love my Optima but man is it heavy! Good for stand hunting though! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-dancin-red.gif

The staghorn is nice for the price, but spend $+70 for a 209, camo, fiber optic sighted, bolt-action, CVA Hunterbolt Mag 209.

I picked one up at Wal-Mart one year. The next morning I went out with it and had a nice buck within a couple of hours. The gun seems to be lucky for me! It shoots well (especially for the price), and this is one buck that can't argue with that:
