need marlin trig. kit

I am looking for an aftermarket trigger/ spring kit for my marlin 17 vs. someone here said something about (brookie mfg ) trigger spring kit for about $35 or are the $ 80 riflebasix trigger the way to go ?? so cal hunter

I got one of the Rifle Basix triggers when they first came out. It helped cut my group size in half! The old trigger was gritty and actually had a "two stage" feel to it when you were really slowly squeezing off a shot. I think if you do a seach for Marlin trigger you might find an older thread on here, where some people have used a ballpoint pen spring to replace the trigger spring with good results.
