I tried to make one of these a few years ago, the problem was it also attracted squirrels that ate my sheds. Anyone else have any luck with something like this?

coyotebandit,
Never have tried it. My problem is the pigs are so bad that they would destroy the thing before any deer had a chance to find it. If you don't have pigs I always heard "V" shaped panels with corn in the middle would do the same thing. You could set them up away from the trees and maybe avoid a few squirreles.

I would like to try it again this year, but where I hunt there is a ban on feeding and baiting deer. So I guess it's back to following the trials that lead to the corn again! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-down-little.gif

I have a gravity feeder made out of 4" PVC. I am going to wrap it in chicken wire. They butt it frequently. Hopefully I can hang some antlers up in that.

I know for a fact in Illinois any type of antler trap deviced is illegal with a $500 minimum fine. You might want to check in your area to see what the law is. Good Luck
