With the wife and kids out of town a ran up to the S Q valley to try my luck. Last weekend in Arizona was fantastic and I couldn't get any of my buddies to go so at 2 pm I left San Pedro charged north and arrived a little before 4 pm.
I got the binos out and saw a few doves putting around a orange grove so I set up in a field near by and it was pretty good. Limit in just under two hours http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-dancin-red.gif

Sorry guys, I posted this 2 hours past my bed time. I shot the birds in near Bakersfield, the first post should have read SJ, San Joaquin Valley.
Greg and Don,
I just threw the gun in the truck and drove up, no real planning but I'll definitely call you guys next time.
