How was the Pheasant hatch?

I was wondering if someone has been to the Sacramento area refuges could give me a report on the Pheasant hatch this year? I guess Gray Lodge production was down last year. I havnt been for a couple of years but i would like to go this year. ### ###Fubar

The pheasant hatch was terrible at Gray Lodge in my opinion. ###This time of year I usually see well over 100 on a three hour walk this year I am seeing 50-75 birds. ###I have been up there five times since july 1 with three to four dogs each time so we are covering some ground.

i've been seeing lots of little ones on the back side of LDC off afton hwy., of course this is the closed zone, anyways seems like a good year in that vicinity.
