Does anyone know if I get another digital cable box, if it will work and allow me to receive all the same channels that I receive through the digital cable box Time Warner supplied.
Ex. I have digital cable downstairs through a box that they provided. If I am able to get the same box and hook it up to another TV will it work?

"Are you talking about Illegal Cable?"
Sorry just had to quote that line from CableGuy. I don't know about your specific company, but the digital cable is broadcast through all the coax. The box is the converter for that signal. The box would have to convert at the same frequency as the one by your cable provider, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes if the box is from them. The Digital boxes are basically computers. They even have a hard drive(small). They are constantly monitored and they talk back and forth with the office like we are doing now. If the box isn't provisioned (programmed) from them it wont work.
