A wildlife officer says it was more likely a 200-pound black bear mistook an open window in East Tennessee State University's old library building for a cave entrance.
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers sedated the female bear Saturday morning at the building in Johnson City and hauled her away for release in the wild.
Wildlife officer David Crum says it was "a very old bear" which had become used to foraging in garbage bins for food.
