Off-road enthusiasts have trips planned

The California Association of 4-Wheel Drive Clubs has a series of summer sport utility vehicle off-road trips planned, including two that are planned for July 12-13.
First, the annual Hennes Pass off-road adventure from Marysville to Virginia City, Nev., is set for July 12-13. Cost is $140 per adult and $50 for children 7-14; all meals and camping fees are included. For more information, or to register, call Kyle Wipf at (916) 966-8636.
Second, the Slate Mountain Scenic SUV Excursion is set for July 12 through the El Dorado National Forest. Cost is $55 for adults and $10 for children 6-17; cost includes breakfast and trail lunch. For more information, or to register, call (916) 421-7788.
