What do you think of them? I am looking at getting on for my new 270wsm and I have read nothing but good things about this scope. My other thoughts where a bushnell elite 4200, which I already have and like, or a Nikon Monarch. What do you think of these scopes?

After having real bad luck with one Bushnell scope and one set of Bushnell binoc's, I would be real hesitant to buy more.

Weaver's rock!

My buddy runs a Nikon on his 7mm mag and that thing stays zeroed year after year, and has some killer glass.

They have the best reputation for reliable tracking of any scope out there.Tough decision, the elites have great optics and rainguard that can make damp weather hunting a lot easier.Nikons have great optics and light weight but they've always been a little to eye position critical for my taste.

I have to agree with new Weaver Grand Slams are outstanding. Great scope the is very clear and bright. I honestly would ranking it higher than the Leupolds.

I've got a 6x20 and I'm very please with it. I plan on
getting another one, hopefully soon. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cross-fingers.gif

I have a 3x10 Weaver Grand Slam on my Model 70 Classic Featherweight 22-250. Although I have only shot paper I really like it. The windage and elevation adjustments are nice and crisp. And it looks great.

I was wondering about the Grand slam as well. I do mostly whitetail deer hunting and hunt with a Winchester m70 300wsm. Any thoughts on it and its performance in low light conditions?

Woodseye, what were you referring to when you said the Nikon is a little too eye position critical for you? Would you expand on that?

Thanks,
