I'm thinking of getting an electric golf cart to use on the woods roads on my club's lease. It seems like a quiet, convenient, quiet way to get around. I've been in my stand hundreds of yards away from the road and heard gas ATVs going by. Has anyone out there had any experience, or heard of anyone using an electic cart?

Yes, I have a buddy...his dad bought an E-Z go golf cart, gasonline engine. They put some type of lift kit, suspension and 4 wheeler tires on it. and they use it around their hunting cabin/ land. I have rode in it lots of times, and believe it or not, it goes up some pretty rugged terrain. (rugged for Pennsylvania). Their is a place about 1.5 hours from here that makes them, but if you search around, you should be able to find the info on the mods, it's well worth it. We have ridden right up on deer and turkey lots of times, it's very quiet in the woods. He welded racks on his, and this year it hauled out several deer. I have a picture of it from my game camera, we set the camera off with the cart, I can try to scan it on Monday, to give you an idea of what it looks like.

OOPS....I just noticed you said "electric" cart, his is a gasoline, and I know the place where he gets them, also only uses gasoline. It's an extremely quiet engine though, and plenty of power. With the electric I think the power would be lacking, and the battery would drain quickly under load with terrain we are dealing with at his cabin.
