Winchester mod 59

I have a mod 59 with a full choke winlite barrel . I love this gun the way it handles and I used it frequently in Mass. for pheasants. My problem is in Vt. I only have partridge and would perfer an improved or even a modifyed choke . I had a gun dealer at a gun show tell me that there was another models barrels would fit this also. The problem is I never saw him again and havn't been able to find out if this is true or not.
Can anyone let me know if this is true ? I've been checking out an auction site for mod 59 barrels but havn't had any luck yet . Any ideas? Thanks in advance ,vermonsta
