I got soaked on Weds. but did manage 1 rooster out of parking lot 3. ###The dog found more birds early in the day. ###As the rain kept coming she seemed to find less.
Is there a point when it is too wet and scent isn't coming off the birds???

###My favorite weather for wild pheasant hunting is pouring rain. ###The birds hold much better and to answer your question no I don't think it affects the dogs scenting the birds. ###A dry snow can affect the scenting but the rain is good.

Buckhunter,
Ducks and geese were flying for the first 1/2 hour of shooting time. ###After that they were few and far between. ###I was in pond out of parking lot 1. ###While I was pheasant hunting I did not see a single duck fly. ###That really surprised me. ###The wind was blowing at about 10mph and it struck me as a good duck day. ###I rarely heard shots on the refuge past 8:00 am. ###
