Bigdog - That's kinda tuff cause if i put a sample here, well, it'll look like a pic so I'll try to explain.
Use the phrase "img" inside brackets "[]" without the quotes. Then the complete url "http:..." for the pic. Then "/img" enclosed in bracket "[]". So the whole thing would look like the following. JUST REMOVE ALL THE QUOTES.
["img"]http://www.photopoint.com/......jpg["/img"]

So, that means that I have to have my pics on a webpage in order ###to post them?

Yes, either on a place like photopoint or your service FTP, like "my place in AOL" ### ### upload your pics to that place than you can reference that location with the [img] or src= ### ###tags.

Big Dog,

Geocities has stopped all off site transfers of their pics. In other words, you can't post your pics from Geocities anymore in the forums. Tripod and Angelfire have also blocked off site transfers. Homestead is one that still allows it but will probably stop it like all the others. The reason they are stopping the off site transfers is when you post a pic, it calls that pic from the server where it is stored, which then ties up Geocities' or whoever's server and bandwidth.

There is a workaround for posting pics off Geocities that we just discovered. By using the FTP side of the Geocities server rather than the 'public www' side, this should work assuming that your permisions are set correctly for public access from the FTP side. Note: keep all sensitive files read only for non password authorized files.

The pic URL is listed like this

http://fp.geocities.com/elkein/PIC00106.JPG

rather than like this

http://www.geocities.com/elkein/PIC00106.JPG

Happy pic posting.

Well finally I have pictures from my homemade gamecam. I have four rolls of film of deer and this is in my yard, I love it. Most of the deer you see are about 45 yards from my front door. The pictures are from me taking a four set with my digital and posting them on the Ofoto website. I haven't found a scanner yet so I hope this works okay. Here's the link.

My scanner is out of comission till I find a PCI scsi card
so I have been using WalMart to develop my film. They will post hi-res copies of your pictures on their website for you to download.

Sorry for the problems with the pictures, The first link I supplied will get you there if you copy and paste the first line in a browser and then grab the second line and put into the browser. There is a buck in the top left picture, it's a 6 point. I will try to get these pictures scanned.

Davered1,

Thats what I thought. I was testing in the test area and I used files from my harddrive and they worked great. I then sent the url to my buddy to make sure he could see them and he could so I though I was good to go...but I was wrong I guess. I will get it fixed so you can see them. Sorry for the bad post.

Joel,

If you go and sign up at http://www.bidbay.com you can use their image hoster. It's free and you don't have to sell anything there.then you just download pics from computer and post that url.

Hurry, any pictures are better than work:smiley-thumbs-up:

Davered1,

I usually can't get to those sites. The only access I have is at work and most sites are blocked by the proxy server. I will get my Buddy Mark to place them on his web site and post a link after he is done. But Thanks for the info.

davered1,

It is called just deercam as far as I know.

It takes pretty good pictures though.

I am very happy with this camera and the homebrew camera I made with everyone's help. I just haven't got any really good pictures with the homebrew yet. I have some does and coons. I am waiting on some buck pictures to post.
