John'sIsland..
In addition to their gun, the caliber will be available in handguns this year from Taurus, Smith&Wesson, Freedom Arms, Ruger, and more that I can't think of offhand. Even Savage is getting into the 17HMR with it's Striker single shot pistol.
The deluge of 17 HMR guns, both rifles and handguns, was gonna be the focus of Part IV of my SHOT Show reports, but I just haven't been able to put it together.
Also, the same reports are hitting the newsstands now in the big glossy mags, and my reports can't compare to those guys... especially because most of them are shooting the new guns. All I got to do was pick them up and play with them inside the convention center. Kinda hard to form a marketable opinion based on that.

With the 17 HS LR coming out soon, maybe Ruger will put out that Single Six in a 17HMR/17 HS LR convertible. That would make for an interesting piece of work.
