Arizona Quail

I'm heading to Az. this week for some quail and dove. Anybody been out by Wickenburg this season?

In AZ try unit 21 north of Bloody Basin Rd. & west of the Verde River, unit 22 north of Rd to Roosevelt lake & east of verde river (these two units are good for gambles quail)- unit 35b by Patagonia Great for Mearns quail, gambles quail - Wilcox area / Eureka pass for Scaled quail & Gambles Quail. Good luck hunting - these areas are traditionally good, but we did not have the rains needed to make them great this year.

I was over there for dove opener. ###We did OK but not as good as other years. ###Did not see very many quail either. ###Maybe we were in the wrong spot? ###But we did see a couple of hairy little hogs.
