TPWD Game Warden Field Notes
The following are excerpts from recent Texas Parks and Wildlife Department law enforcement reports.

Triple Tragedy -- Wood County Game Wardens assisted the Wood County Sheriff's Office after a multiple drowning. A 6-year-old had slid into a small farm pond and an 11-year-old went in to retrieve her, then an 82-year-old went in to retrieve the other two. All three bodies were recovered.

No Good Excuse -- A Hill County Game Warden was patrolling near Lake Whitney when he spotted a van parked on the road. He noticed what appeared to be trash being thrown out from the rear of the vehicle. He identified himself, yet the two people continued to sweep mounds of trash out of the vehicle. They stated that they were just cleaning the van and that they would be out of the way shortly. The warden pointed out that they were illegally dumping. Charges are pending.

Warden Outreach -- A Wichita County Game Warden gave a presentation at a Career Day for more than 1,000 students. The kids came from several surrounding counties and learned some about of the requirements to become a game warden.
