My receiver won't power-up at all. I tried the reset procedure and different outlets, but no-go. Any repairmen in the house know how I might fix it (besides sending it in)? Just wondering if it might be a simple part swap before I trade it back to DirecTv for a refurbished one.....

How did you reset it?
Unplug it for about 20 minutes,if nothing after that,it may be a blown fuse inside case.

You're absolutely right Vic! I couldn't stand it, so I opened the thing up and amongst all the transistors, capacitors, resistors, etc. stood a lone fuse that was smoked. Now I just have to locate one and solder the thing in (p/n 5G3A250V). Know where I can get my hands on one? I'm gonna do some searching now.......

Wouldn't you know it, I jumped the gun!! While I'm on the phone with a guy about the part, I glance over http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-wow-eyes-yellow.gif to the board and notice 5-6 other components burnt. Might just send it back afterall.......bummer! http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-throw-computer-ani.gif

I did find out that RCA's part number is 240105 for the fuse if it will help anybody else out down the road.

Glad I could help. That's what we are here for.Sorry about your receiver. You may want to check ebay for a new one instead of having it repaired, depends on the cost though.
