I'm interested in putting a scope on my smoothbore Nova for turkey hunting. The most popular option seems to be a saddle mount, which costs about $50. Another option seems to be a rib-mounted cantilever.
Does anyone know if it's possible to have this gun drilled and tapped so that I can mount a scope directly onto the gun? If it is possible, how much would something like this cost?
If drilling and tapping doesn't turn out to be feasible, which would you recommend between the saddle and cantilever type mounts?
