I remember shooting 11-48s in the small gauges (28 and 410) in the late 60s. They were very capable guns, nice design and feel. They went out of production simply because the Remington 1100 did the same job so much better. Most people preferred the gas ejection system better than the "clang/clang" of the recoiling barrel. I think there was a bajillion of them made, so I don't think you've got collectors' items tho. If they're good shooters, enjoy them.

From the info I've been able to dig up, looks like somewhere in the neighborhood of 455,000 of them were made. Because I have such a low production serial #.... ya never know. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rolleyes-green.gif
