Anyone have any experience or insight about the Browning BDM 9mm? It looks like a great pistol, slimmer frame than most, and a way to switch between single and double action. I'm just starting to look into getting a handgun, and I'm a Browning fan, so that is the first place I'm looking.
Thanks,
Scott

Well my favorite handgun is the Browning Hi-Power. Great shooting, pointing gun that feels perfect in my hand. With that said...... The BDM was an answer to a question that was never asked. Seems they wanted an "updated" version of an already Classic/Great pistol that would allow DA for those that prefer it. The two pistols don't even come close in comparision when it comes to relability and shooting. Just my two .02

So you are saying that the Hi-Power is a better shooting gun than the BDM?

I've only shot the one BDM but have "played" with several. The BDM that I shot didn't come close to shooting with any of the Browning Hi-Powers that I have shot. The Hi-Power has to be handled and shot to be aprreciated. See if a local range has a gun rental where you can rent these two guns and try for yourself. Who knows, you might like the BDM, but i'm such a Hi-Power fan http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-biggrin-aqua.gif Check this link...... FN Hi-Power (http://fnhipower.com/) for everything releated to Hi-Power
