Where do you guys go to spend your hard earned cash? I'm looking for leads on good places to check out, not rants on places to avoid.
I get to Jerry's Bait and Tackle in Milford (skipnoids home away from home, LOL). Not a huge place but they have some good stuff. I hear they have archery lanes but have never used them as I shoot indoors at the club-
I've been to Reedy's archery in Middleborough and was impressed with their selection and very impressed with the help...
As of late I've been pleasantly surprised by the selection of stuff at the recently opened Dicks Sporting Goods in Shrewsbury. Kinda like a sports authority but better in my opinion.
Any other places to check out? I'm always looking for a road trip after deer season.

Kittery Trading Post is my favorite store, and it's within a reasonable distance. Plus, the wife will ALWAYS gladly go there to shop at all the other money pits across the street.
If you're job requires any out of state travel, Bass Pro Shops is awesome. I had a chance to go there last year in Orlando. I'm sure Cabela's is even better. Here's a sad story for you:
I was driving back from California 5 or 6 years ago. I think I was in Nebraska. After my 12 hrs of driving I pulled off the Interstate and there before me, towering over the prairie like an oasis in the desert is Cabela's. Neither me nor my hound dog Bob had eaten all day, so I fed him, walked him and let him leave a little piece of himself for posterity. Then I grabed a bite for myself at a restaraunt. I finally went to Cabela's. As I opened the doors, rays of light came from the sky and angelic music could be heard in the background. Huge mounts everywhere ... everything a guy could possibly have on his wish list was jumping out wispering "buy me ... buy me ...". I figured I'd browse for hours. At this point, I was only three feet into the store when the nice lady said "You better hurry up son, we close in ten minutes". I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. I just turned and walked away dejected. I split a six pack with Bob that night in a dumpy hotel room. Couldn't afford the time (or the money) to wait till they opened the next day.

kittery trading post for all my ammo, guns, targets, cleaning stuff. ammo is real cheap!
i have heard of the place in midelboro for archery. i have also heard that it will cost you a arm and a leg to buy a good bow there as well. i have looked into archery U.S.A up in dedham and found that not only do they have classes but they have a decent slection of used bows and they can order me what i want for about $50.00 less than reedy's.
also i spend a ton of moeny at cabela's and bass pro every year.

Kittery is cool, no doubt.
Can't believe you let the dog relieve himself first, skip! Guess your priorities were screwed on straight that day...
Q- I bought a dozen carbon arrows at reedy's, seemed reasonable. I haven't been in the market for a new bow for several years so I'm afraid I can't help with the hoyt. Was Reedy's really that much more on the bows? I just pick 'em up and compare them to my PSE... No sense looking at the price, the PSE still throws 'em fine.
