Get that new hunter started off right and in time for the Saturday, Sept. 1 Dove Opener!
Check out the statewide schedule of upcoming Hunter Education courses here-- http://www.dfg.ca.gov/huntered/classes.aspx . Courses are listed by county, note that there are also on-line versions available. (However, students must take the exam in-person at a "follow-up" course, it is not possible to complete Hunter Education course 100% on-line. The option does cut in-class time by at least half.)
Upcoming LA-area classes in Long Beach, Santa Clarita, and the San Gabriel Valley. As of this posting date, there were at least 16 slots available at the Long Beach course, contact (name/phone #s found in the on-line course schedule) the instructors for each to register and obtain details.
Shut off the electronics and take a kid hunting!
