Well, there's a new addition to my family. The day before thanksgiving we picked up Bella--she was 8 weeks old. She's got a decent pedigree and she seemed the birdiest of the litter. I started right off with crate training--it's going to take a while to get her eliminating outside every time. Jumped right into Wolters's version of pre-school training too.
After I built a temporary run, she (unknown to us) dug down and killed gopher and delivered its head to my wife. I thought I'd got them all with the gas bombs a couple weeks back...aparently not. Just glad she wasn't bit by the gopher.
She started retrieving a bumper in the hallway already and she sits on command most of the time too. She still likes to nip and jump but we're trying to train her away from that behavior.
Any ideas on getting her out of the nipping and jumping on people?
Some photo's
