My buck is back from the taxidermist

My Oregon buck from last August
Local shop did it. Will use them again if I ever have something to mount.

Looks great, I've been doing some scouting around parts of Oregon and will be putting in for tags on a Pronghorn this summer. Great buck and again, congrats on a job well done, they're not particularly easy to hunt.

I went with McClagan's just north of Bend off Hwy 97. He's got that big elk with the gloves for hides sign.

yep. Got it in Oregon. The wait was pretty much like Ca as far as taking FOREVER, well 13 yrs that is. If you ever meet someone who has hay fields west of Lakeview and in the Drews Reservoir hunt area you can go for bucks in the archery hunt every year. Otherwise, it's a long wait. In some of the mostly priavte lands areas you can score a tag in like 9-10 yrs.

I may try Wyoming some day as the tags are readily available and success rate seems to be pretty good. I always apply in Ca. but My chances of drawing before end of days is slim.

Hope to get mine back from Colorado in Feb. i'm hoping to get a doe next year and get it mounted to put next to my buck

Cjack if you draw a buck tag in wyoming you can usualy pick up extra doe tags when you get there,my friend went elk hunting there last year and I told him to ask about doe tags and he got two for 66 dollars.
