About 3 months ago I looked at one of the lite sights that truglo makes. Its basically a no thrills camo sight with 3 fibre optic pins. It is constructed out of some type of polymer. Nice and light, and seemed tough enough. Well it was OK in the field. I hunt some pretty rough and unforgiving areas and it seemed to hold up ok with no movement from bumps etc.
Until yesterday.
I was punchin' holes in bales when the sight exploded on the shot. the pin housing went one way, and pieces of the bracket slide arm went eveywhere. The only bit still intact is the sight bracket. on closer inspection ive noticed little hairline cracks EVERYWHERE in the sight bracket and the slide arm!!! Maybe it couldnt handle the recoil??
Anyway I was looking for an excuse to buy a Copper John, and by the looks of it this things gonna be here awhile :)
Was really surprised at the truglo though. Ive heard good things in general - Just aswell it only cost 20 bucks on ebay!
