Decided I really wanted a smaller Element instead. Will trade for camo Carbon Element or sell for $1000.

I learned today that OC Archery mismeasured me...I've been fighting a longer than necessary DL since Day 1. God I hate that place now. No wonder i have had trouble keeping a pattern beyond 30 yards! Went to Archery Outpost today and got some REAL help. Great store!

Bruce what is your D L ?. I have the carbon element and the Z7 the carbon elements let-off is real touchy. The Z7 Xtreme is 28" and has 80% let-off real nice. That aint right they did that to you take it back to OC arch tell them make it right see what they say

OC Archery told me I needed a 31" DL. Not knowing the first thing about archery I accepted it as fact. That was 4 years ago. I am really a 27" DL...major difference and no post-shooting pain. I will never step into OC Archery again and told Roland (owner) that in very clear languange. Archery Outpost is my bow shop now.

Is there a way to increase the valley on the Element? The #3 cam on the Matrix made it easy to hold a draw for a longer period of time and since I tend to hold my shots longer, would prefer this.

Hey Slant...how ya doin'? All the bows on ebay have a max 29" DL...if those work for you then mine won't. Ya gotta be half orangutan to need this DL! LOL

Dustin...are you the same Dustin from Archerytalk that I bought the element from today? If so we can meet in the middle instead of shipping cuz you're close (I'm in San Clemente). Central OC good?

I remember you mentioning in another post that you were a 30 or 31 inch DL and I thought that was a bit long.
I had a shop tell me I was 30.5" DL, that didnt sound right. I went back to the same shop and was talking to another counterman, he asked me what my DL was and I said 30.5". He Looked at me funny and said NO-WAY you are 30.5". I said, "well that guy over there measured me" as I pointed to the other guy working there. They measured me agian and got 28".
Funny thing was I knew I was over drawing even before I got re-measured, so I went ahead and adusted my cams to shorten it up. Feels much better now.

are you kidding me??!! your DL is 28, and they hooked you up with a 31"???!! how do you mess that up? you wouldnt even be able to find an anchor point the second you drew back.

man, that isnt right..my bow felt long, and my shop offered to change my cam for me to drop the .5"..changing mods was not an option? turns out, my bow is ok..i changed the grip and changed the way i hold the bow.
