Howdy folks,

I need to get out and get some tuning time on my bow.. Can anyone give me some details about Mile Square Park's archery range? I looked at the website and there is no details about the archery range. I searched other sites and really couldn't find specifics. Some questions I have are:

Can I bring my own foam target block?
Can I set my target up at various distances (20, 30, 40.. 60 yards)?
Does anyone monitor the shooters for safety and coordinate arrow retrieval?
What is the max range distance?
Any other info I need to know?

Thanks,
Jerid

Well, I got out to Mile Square Park today and checked out the archery range.. Here is what I learned..

The range is unmonitored.. so be careful.
You can easily get 60 yards
You shoot into hay bales which are pretty old and crusty.. My buddies arrows passed right through them. Luckily we brought a foam block
You can park for free along the road or you can pay 5 bucks and park inside the park.
Broadheads are not allowed
They want you to use paper targets on the hay bales.. again, I was glad I brought the foam block.

Overall a nice place to shoot.. especially if you are looking for a flat place to get dialed in.

cheers,
Jerid
