newb here. I'm on my late twenty's and wanting to go hunting. I have been researching for almost 3 months now and have gathered all the items (rifle, camping etc) and info needed. I am not new to hiking and camping. I'm looking for a hunting buddy or someone to show me the ropes and where to go. I'm not rich but I am willing to pay for gas.

I am a new hunter and looking for a hunting buddy too. I am in early 30's. I got some tools. I am in the valley area. I heard about Angeles national forest and Los Pardos national forest. Do you like to go together? Where do you go shooting? PM me.

Hi guys ,
I am intersted in scouting for either the A-32 either sex hunt in Ventura County or the A-31 either sex hunt in LA county. Both hunts do not have a huge success rate, last year A31 was 8% but the tags are easy to draw plus there are bear in the ANF if the seasons overlap. Bear tags are OTC and with a bow you can hunt close to the residential areas where they like to go. There are deer in the LPNF but its a tough hunt and a lot of competition. There are some pigs in the Ventenea Wilderness but I am not in shape for that hunt which is tough but one can score with a little luck or so I have been told. Sean English is always looking for a partner for Chuckar season. If interested PM me.
Thanks;

Hey Lefty, blitz023, Ametry,
I'm in my mid 50s, but I have been hunting off and on since the 60s. I'm interested in wild pigs, deer, ducks, chukar, quail, rabbit, and scouting the high country. I am a little slow, but I don't quit, and go all day. I'm all outfitted, and ready to go looking/scouting. I have a 4x4 with a crew cab, so it is not a big deal to take others with me. If you're up for scouting when it's warmer, I'll be looking around that same area. I am definitely into the LPNF for deer and pig, and I go to the Eastern Sierra and near Lucerne Valley for chukar and quail. I hunt with Sean English, so I guess dropping his name isn't a bad reference, either. Let me know.

I'm down to hunt ANF LPNF for some song dogs. I'm setup to hunt dogs with a shotgun in the lead free zone. Got a 4x4 ranger and all the stuff needed. Hope to scout for some pig and upland while hunting dogs. Be nice to go with someone that has a rifle setup lead free for the long shots. My .223 spits lead only.
Would like to make a trip to kennedy/troy/monache meadows in southern sierra when it opens up.
Hit me up.
The roads in LPNF where closed as of 2 weeks ago I scouted lockwood area and it was no go. Maybe they opened on the first. Check before you head out there. The roads I was on in ANF where open.

527 do u reload? I have copper rounds for all my guns/rifles. 44mag,357,223, 3006. its a same we have to use copper though. For my 223, it shoots out of an ar15, if you don't reload, we an arrange something. If you buy the stuff, i could load it for you, or show u how, with time though, I would watch you/help you. My days off rotate every week and i work nights, 4 on, 4 off. MY wife is on workmans comp now so things are a bit tight. But, I have no problem helping you get some copper rounds for that .223, im in the riverside area.
