Monterey/ Los Padres area for deer, pig, or whatever.

My name is Ryan and I am 25 and I am looking for people to hunt with. I am new to hunting so someone to help me out would be nice. I have gone a few times but I have not gotten anything yet. I have a rifle and a bow so I am open to either. I also enjoy backpack hunting. My only hunting partner lives a few hours a way so we cant go that often. I go around santa nella for pigs AN I HUNT D5 AN D6 FOR DEER.I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO GO TO THAT PLACE YOU GO FOR A WHILE NOW,MY BROTHER IS A CO AT SALINAS VALLEY PRISON SO I GO OVER THAT WAY ALOT.WHERE DO YOU HUNT DEER?AN HAVE YOU GOT YOUR TAGS ALREAD?

No I dont have my tags yet. I usually hit up a few different spots in LPNF but I have not had any luck yet.

Check out the Ventenna Wilderness area. The draw hunts there have a decent sucess rate for deer and one poster said he always sees pigs there. Keep in mind it is very rugged terrain and accessing water can be an issue. I will be scouting the Ventura County portion for my sons M7 tag.
