So currently ihave a diamond rock and am wondering should I buy a better bow or use my curent one and just upgrade the sight, rest, etc? I have no problems with my current bow but also have never shot any other ones either? Just trying to decide if a better platfom will help me in the long run or just upgrade parts.

I'm a firm believer in - If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it's working for you, why buy another setup?

I had the same bow for 13 years. I then bought a newer one that was lighter. It worked well for me but it's had its problems.
If you feel a need to change something get new parts. But if its working for you otherwise, why bother? Use that money you save on gas for your hunt this fall.

i gave an older PSE away, because it was so hard to draw back with my sore shoulder. i bought a mathews SwitchbackXT and it was a dream. shot great, killed great!! LIKE AN IDIOT, i bought a new Z7 and it was an uphill fight to get it to shoot right. i finally got it golden, and i am very proficient with it. everybit as good as that SBXT, but i cannot say it is BETTER.
doing it again, i should have just upgraded a few parts and called it good. i am done with new bows (at least i say so now). a new bow, will need to fantastic for me to buy it. i'm done. my next bow will probably a 60lb puller. as i sit, my sore shoulder can yank back my Z7 with ease..
i would upgrade if i owned a very old bow, but not a newer one.
