I lost about 10 boxes of shells. Gained a pair of waders and a new hunting partner.

Other then a couple of 12 gauge rounds that I dropped in the water I don't recall loosing anything this year. Found a lot of empty shells and trash left behind by others but even that wasn't as bad as some prior seasons.
Lost the read to my speck call other than that all is well

I also lost a couple of shells - dropped into the water. I 'mis-placed' my small binoculars. I thought they were somewhere in my pile of gear, but I can't find them.
db183 - sorry about the loss of your phone and camera. I soaked a video camera once at Tule. Lost a lot of good video.

Every year I donate at least 10 shells to the ponds, and I can count on losing at least one glove every year. This year I donated a mallard drake decoy to a finishing shot on a cripple. Kind of interesting to watch your decoy go from a rest position to a dabbler to a feeder to a submarine.... I patched up the holes, but have not given it a trial swim since.

Lost opening weekend in Oregon due to my cousins need to get married on 10/10/10. Stupid.....
Lost all hunting but the middle 2 weeks of December due to no water and then flooded out. The biblical event also washed away probably 150 decoys, blind covers, etc. One of the weekends I was actually able to hunt I fell in chasing a cripple thanks to Mr. Tractor Driver who was out in the fields when they were too wet. Went from calf to thigh deep real fast and I went down, 2x. Submerged my i-phone, my body. Everything below my eyeballs.
The most expensive season I've even had and also the worst. Buy hey, it can only go up from here. lol.

Lost about 10 pounds of fat, wading through the thigh-deep water for two hundred yards at a pop in order to get to the tules where we set up. Gained it back when I went to dinner the next night. Never knew quads could scream, but you could hear them right through my waders.:mooning:
Lost at least ten rounds to frozen fingers and wet gloves. Found a duck strap... Lost a blind at San Jacinto, due to not having waders on me, and my buddies not having their duck stamps.:smiley_doh:
Lost a snow goose that I had downed, when he walked up to another hunter, while I stood there watching with a jammed gun. Put my bucks together and found another gun for this year. Lost a lot of my fear of spending money to further a crazy habit. Lost the rest of my money buying decoys, shells, gear, and calls more than six months before the next season! Must have lost my mind!
